NOTE TO CLIENTS:
Please read!  This is very important in your decision to purchase!

Unfortunately New England has recently became inundated with new Cavalier "breeders".
Many of these breeders tout
~champion lines~ and some even have the audacity to post
about Pet Shop Puppies and other concerns on their personal puppy websites.  I implore
you to do your research before you purchase as I am certain that many of the puppies
being produced by these
breeders are from Amish Puppymills and/or are of inferior
quality... some even topping out as 30lbs+ as adults.  It pains me
and others in our network
to see this going on but frankly I am sick and tired of seeing buyers du
ped and dogs
suffering as a consequence of the
breeders stupidity at best or lack of ethics at worst.

We see them in rescue all the time and it's frustrating and disturbing - it needs to stop!

Let me make it crystal clear to all buyers ... you are not going to get a well bred Cavalier
for $1500 or less.  It's not happening.  If this is your budget then you need to rethink your
budget or your breed.  I've said it once and I'll say it again - Cavaliers are epidemically
prone to MVD.  They are 20 times more likely to get MVD than any other breed and 50% of
them are diagnosed by the age of four.  When we see stats on anything it's human nature
to think
"that won't happen to me" ... it can and it will if you don't go about this in the right
way.  It's not a scare tactic.  It's
a fact that's documented and tracked every year.

You're about to make an emotional purchase and you need to do your research!

* Search the breeders name and/or the names of the dogs they own - parents, etc
- S
EARCH THE NAME OF THE BREEDER OF THEIR ADULTS TOO ... AND CHECK LOCATION
-
SEARCH THE NAMES OF THE DOGS AND INSTEAD OF JUST THE NAME ADD "CAVALIER" AFTER IT
- DOGS THAT COME FROM MOST OF THE MIDWEST OR AMISH AREAS ARE LIKELY FROM MILLS!
* Call the breeders vet. Research online to see if there are any complaints.
- If you have any questions - call us.  We're happy to help.
